Heel and Arch Pain

Plantar Fascitis(heel pain) is a very common problem seen in our clinics, typically the pain would be worse when getting out of bed or standing up after sitting for a while.

To achieve the best outcome a comprehensive biomechanical assessment must be carried out and then an appropriate treatment plan devised which may involve some of the many modalities we have to offer the best chance of resolution. Foot Arch Pain is also very prevalent, especially occurring in people who stand a lot at work, hairdressers, catering and retail staff are at risk, again a biomechanical assessment is carried to assess the cause of the problem.

In our clinics we have a range of treatments to fix the above, such as, taping & strapping, home exercises, trigger point release, foot manipulation therapy, laser therapy and orthotics to name a few.

If you are suffering with the above don’t hesitate to contact us to get back to having pain free feet again.

Ingrown Toenail Treatment

Having an ingrowing toenail ( IGTN) can be seriously painful and requires professional attention.

There are many causes of this problem such as, family history of them, picking at the nails, tight fitting footwear and having an injury to the toe.

Where possible we try to treat them conservatively but in difficult cases we can perform a minor surgical procedure to remove the ingrown part of the nail.

This is a very successful operation which has a very quick healing time as there are NO scaples, stitches or scars involved.

Our success rate is over 97% and we have performed nearly 1000 successful operations in the last 20 years so we pride ourselves at been good at this.

Unlike the public hospitals where the waiting list is somewhere between 6 months to a year. There is virtually no waiting list in our clinic so if you have this painful condition call to get it fixed.

Routine Footcare

Our experienced Podiatrists offer a range of treatments to resolve routine common problems, such as Corns and Callous, Thickened Nails, Chilblains, Athlete’s Foot, Foot Odour, etc. In most cases they can be sorted out in one painless visit to the surgery.

Although the symptoms may return in time as the underlying causes may need to be addressed.

We aim to treat you with as much care as possible, while explaining what causes the problem and how best to avoid a reoccurrence.

If you are suffering from foot trouble don’t suffer any longer, make an appointment and let us help get you back on your feet quickly.

Verruca Removal

Verruca ( foot warts) are a very common condition, they are part of the HPV family of virus.

The annoying lesions can present at any age but mostly it’s younger people who suffer them.

There are many different subtypes of verrucae, and they range from very easy to treat to very stubborn to remove.

In most cases they can be treated by using a remedy from the pharmacy. But in stubborn cases where they are causing pain by squeezing on the nerves in the foot when standing, it is best to have them treated by professionals.

Our podiatrists have lots of experience in treating verrucae, and we have a wide range of different treatment options available (unlike most GP practices, where they only offer cryotherapy).

We can offer a range of caustic ointments, Vp needling, laser therapy as well as traditional cryotherapy.

If you have a stubborn painful verruca, our trained podiatrists can advise as to the best option to get rid of it.

We offer a selection of extra wide, extra deep footwear for both men and women.

It is surprising how many people are walking around in discomfort due to wearing the wrong size footwear.

It’s a fact that our feet change size as we go through life, pregnancy, weight gain, aging, as well as systemic disorders like arthritis, hypertension, and oedema can all cause our feet to change shape.

Up until now the only choice many people faced was to go up a size when the shoes became too tight

We have the solution, extra wide/ extra deep shoes in your size which will accommodate your swollen feet without the need to go up to an ill fitting altogether larger shoe.

The shoes we supply are mostly leather and are available with lace, velcro or slip on styles.

The stock available is designed to accommodate foot deformities such as hammer toes and bunions comfortably. There is even a whole range of softer no seam diabetic specification footwear which reduce the risk of ulceration.
